Who we are
Our New Life story began with a God-breathed calling to reach the state of Arkansas. We made the move from Louisiana with our four young children in November of 2000.
On February 4, 2001, we had our first service in a renovated car dealership in downtown Conway with a handful of committed people who were willing to serve. By the unexplainable grace of God, NLC has grown far beyond what any of us could have imagined in those first few days.
In August 2001, we opened our second campus in Maumelle. Over the following year, that campus began to grow exponentially as people invested in the vision. From the outset of this journey, we have been grateful to work alongside an incredible team of pastors and leaders in each city who help carry out the vision God placed in our hearts.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
Today, we continue to expand New Life Church across the state so people can encounter God and connect with others in an authentic and exciting way. New Life Church is a home—a place filled with the presence of God, where truth is taught without compromise, and joy overflows. Here, you are among family.

Rick Bezet is the founder and lead pastor of New Life Church of Arkansas. Pastor Rick’s heart and motivation is always to see the next person encounter Jesus. The vision of New Life reflects this passion as we grow throughout our state and country.
Rick and his lovely wife, Michelle, have been married since 1988 and live in Conway, Arkansas. They have four children and love life as grandparents.

New Life Church History
New Life Church began as a gathering in Pastor Rick and Michelle’s home. There, the church’s first families built relationships and began the first NLC life group. On February 4, 2001, New Life held its first service in an old car dealership in downtown Conway, Arkansas. By the unexplainable grace of God, New Life has grown far beyond what we could have imagined.
As New Life grew, so did a desire to practically help and show the love of Jesus to the people in our communities and world. The Arkansas Dream Center began in Little Rock, serving the needs of the people through after-school programs, food outreaches, and family support. The ARDC has grown to include multiple locations, serving the people in those cities. New Life is also a founding member of the Association of Related Churches (ARC.) The ARC supports church plants across the nation and the world, helping them flourish in their calling and mission.
Pastor Rick and Michelle are passionate about raising up the next generation of leaders. With a dream to equip students to know the Word, New Life partnered with Ouachita Baptist University in 2014 to launch a two-year Associate of Arts degree program named OBU at NLC. In 2019, New Life has transitioned the program to NLC College, and is on progress to offer four-year bachelor's degrees from Arkansas Baptist College on-location at the NLC Conway and online. In addition, New Life began The School of Ministry in 2016 to build up individuals in biblical foundations and theology, as well as teaching individuals to lead in all areas of ministry.
While the vision of New Life may expand, the values of the house will stay the same. Our mission will always be to bring people into God’s Kingdom, seeing our friends and family become fully devoted followers of Jesus. We believe that we will see the hope and name of Jesus made famous throughout Arkansas and the world.
