Welcome to NorthLake Church!
In our fast-paced world the importance of God, family, and recharging oneself spiritually often gets lost. At NorthLake Church, however, you will find a spiritual oasis for you and your family.
You won't be run in and out the door on Sunday morning. We encourage people to come have a cup of coffee, meet a friend, hear a relevant teaching or just get to know someone better. When service is over, you need not rush out the door. We encourage you to interact and spend time with one another.
During our services you will hear clear, biblical teaching. The truth is spoken in love at NorthLake, often with humor. We also believe in and desire to experience the spiritual gifts mentioned in scripture (I Corinthians 12:1-14:40) both personally and corporately. However, living authentically in the day to day is the true test of who we are. We are not looking for the weird or merely emotional experience but true biblical transformation that comes when God is present.
At NLC, you will find ministries and activities for every member in your family. Jesus is our passion and reason for living. He has brought change and refreshing to our lives. It’s what drives every service, event and activity that we do.

Leader Bio:
Pastor Dave and Patti Thomas are the lead pastors at NorthLake Church! Called into ministry while studying art at Notre Dame, Pastor Dave moved to Kentucky for seminary and ministry after college. There he met Patti, and their relationship was sealed while on a missions trip. They served over 15 years as missionaries to Ecuador and Latin America, leading Bible schools and ministering in churches. David finished a Ph.D. in New Testament studies at Southern Baptist Seminary during this time, and since then they’ve pastored (Southern California and Pacific Northwest) and taught in seminaries and universities. They are excited about what God is doing and looking forward to meeting you at NorthLake!

NorthLake Kids
At NorthLake Kids, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud and good leaders always care! This is the heart and soul behind everything we do. Our classes and activities are designed to show kids who Jesus is in an exciting, personal way.
All our classes are led by staff and teachers who love showing kids who Jesus is! They have all gone through a process of training and background checks to be qualified to work with our kids.
Kids programs are available at all services.
INFANTS & TODDLERS, birth - 2 year olds
We believe that kids are never too young to hear about the love of God! We provide loving arms, music, age appropriate toys and story books to begin teaching who Jesus is to our littlest ones. For those nursing moms, we offer a private room in the nursery. Care is available for babies and toddlers for all services.
LITTLE KIDS CHURCH, 3 - 5 year olds
In each Sunday morning class, 3-5 year olds experience a Bible lesson, music, games, snacks and fun crafts. We want kids to know Jesus, and know that they are loved!
KIDS CHURCH, K - 5th grade
Each service is an energetic experience packed with games, interactive activities, worship, Bible teaching and personal application. We want your kids to be excited about knowing Jesus!
FRIENDS CLUB, PreK - 5th grade
Friends Club is all about being friends with God and each other. We want kids to see how God's Word fits in to their lives, to learn how to talk to him, and to build friendships that will last. Hands on activities and games cement biblical truths for a lifetime! Wednesday nights at 7pm
SUMMER SURVIVOR, PreK-5th grade
Crazy games, slimy & wet lessons, and wild fun as we learn to outwit, outplay and outlast the enemy – God’s way! Summer Wednesdays at 7pm
OFF THE COUCH ADVENTURES, K-5th grade
Outings and activities that get you off the couch and moving! Past adventures have included swimming, kids’ campout, hiking Multnomah Falls, bowling, crafting, cooking….come find out where we will go next! 3-4 times throughout the year
KIDS CAMP, K-6th grade
Lacamas Adventure Camp is a week full of games, crafts, friends and fun! This day camp is open to kids who are entering kindergarten thru 6th grade. Last week of July

NorthLake Youth (NLY) is about students encountering Jesus. We focus on developing students into Christ like leaders. Raising young people to be leaders in their school/workplace and instilling habits that will create a long lasting relationship with Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
NLY meets Wednesdays at 7-8pm -- A time for students to interact with one another and mentors through worship, games and a weekly message.
