Who we are

What We Believe

At Oakhill Church, we are excited about our faith. We believe Christian doctrine, like our Risen Lord, is alive today and not just some dead tradition that has little relevance to the modern day Church or daily living. Great Biblical doctrine, rightly taught, helps us to better find, experience and understand our wonderful Lord and His plan for our lives. You will find our church to be a place of doctrinal depth and richness that is thoughtful and practical for everyday life. With that in mind, here are a few basic doctrinal points that we believe to be essential to our faith. We believe ...

In One Eternal God in three distinct Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit - Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19 Jesus Christ is Lord of all and He is the ONLY way of salvation - Acts 4:12 Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone for the glory of God alone - Ephesians 2:8 The Lord alone calls each person to a new birth and resulting faith - John 3:3 Scripture is the final authority for the Christian - II Timothy 3:16-17 There is one people of God, united by the Spirit in Christ - Ephesians 4:4-6 Every Christian has been called to serve one another in the Body of Christ - I Corinthians 12:7 Discipleship is at the heart of a growing relationship with the Lord - Matthew 10:38 Our Lord Jesus will return for His people at the close of the age - I Thessalonians 4:13-18

Our Mission

Oakhill Church is a family of believers who've found life in the Lord Jesus Christ. We live to boldly declare the Kingdom of God through a passionate love for the Word of God, for one another, and for a lost and hurting world.

The power of Christian prayer I want to know Thee
Father, I want to know Thee, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys. I cannot part with them without inward bleeding, and I do not try to hide from Thee the terror of the parting. I come trembling, but I do come. Please root from my heart all those things which I have cherished so long and which have become a very part of my living self, so that Thou mayest enter and dwell there without a rival. Then shalt Thou make the place of Thy feet glorious. Then shall my heart have no need of the sun to shine in it, for Thyself wilt be the light of it, and there shall be no night there. In Jesus Name, Amen.
