Risen Christ Catholic Parish in Denver, Colorado is a Christian congregation serving the Denver community and seeking, engaging, and encouraging others through a life-changing Christian journey.

Risen Christ Catholic Parish History
Risen Christ Catholic Parish was founded August 22, 1967, by Archbishop James V. Casey who appointed Very Rev. Joseph M. O’Malley as its founding pastor. Prior to the building of the church, the community worshipped in the gymnasium of Cherry Creek High School and then at the Continental Theater.
Ground was broken for the new church building on December 29, 1968, and the first Mass was celebrated in the church on January 25, 1970.
In the summer of 1987, members of the congregation donated a 6.5-ton, twelve foot high statue of the Risen Christ. On August 23, 1992, the new Emmaus Center was blessed and dedicated by Archbishop James F. Stafford.
