Who we are
Worship is all about God. At Riverton we offer an opportunity for everyone to participate in worship. What you can expect is to see a countdown on the main screen letting you know the service will begin soon. (10:30am) A processional will bring the 'light of Christ' into the sanctuary and light the alter candles. After an opening prayer and brief time of announcements we will open with a traditional hymn. The children will be dismissed to attend Children's worship and an offering will be received.
Following a short 'pass the peace' (greeting your neighbors and friends) we will have a music set, generally 10-12 minutes followed by the teaching of the day from the Pastor. An opportunity to respond usually follows the message and a closing song concludes our service. You can expect to be finished around 11:45pm.
Holy Communion is celebrated on first Sundays and other special days. All are welcome to participate in Holy Communion.
