The mission of South Union Church of God is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

A Place For Worship The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of these occasions is a special time of spiritual refreshment. We pray this is what you experience when you attend one of our services.
A Place For Learning To us, studying the Bible is vital because it not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually. We believe it and accept it as God’s Word to us, a book that is alive and relevant to life today. Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure.
A Place For Connection and Enrichment It is our goal to offer every person at every age level a wealth of opportunities – special programs and ministries for children, youth, and adults which fill the church calendar. You can be sure that there is a place where you can become both personally connected and enriched.
A Place For Friendship Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. That’s why we make it a priority to build lasting bonds between the members of our faith family – bonds of concern and genuine commitment to one another. Best of all, this circle of care is ever-widening. We would love for it to include you too!
A Place For Service Just as Jesus Christ came “not to be ministered unto, but to minister…” we accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. Leader Bio:
As spiritual leader, Pastor Richard has a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. He has a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies (ordained in 1991) and is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He and his wife Patty have served at South Union Church of God for over two years. They have three children and four grandchildren. Over the years, Pastor Richard has ministered in four states and now also serves as Chaplain for one of the area’s major hospitals.. He is passionate about missionary work and has a heart for the lost.
The Bible has a lot to say about music and the nurturing of children in the ways of the Lord; Patty’s role is to lead the church’s worship of God in a way that matches the character of God. Patty is an accomplished musician with a Masters Degree in Music and Arts who also teaches music in the public school system. Patty combines her love of music and children in sharing her gifts with the church.
