Who we are
The St. Albert Catholic Parish Church sits atop Mission Hill in St. Albert on the same site that Oblate Father Albert Lacombe and Bishop Alexandre Taché chose to establish a mission in 1861.
Today our parish comprises around 2000 families and is a varied, active and welcoming community of the faithful.
Mission Statement
Daring to walk in the footsteps of those who came before us to this mission hill, we, St. Albert Catholic Parish, strive to become the living presence of Christ by being a sacramental and socially active community of faith. We gather on a prayerful journey to nurture one another and together with our youth we further enrich our tradition. United as God's people, we care for the sacred universe created for the benefit of all.
Our Schools
We are blessed to have a strong relationship with the Greater St. Albert Catholic School Division and our seven associated Catholic schools. We offer ministry to these dynamic educational communities, and their presence at St. Albert Catholic Parish enriches the church, the body of Christ. We invite you to strongly consider Catholic schooling for your children.

Youth ministry is an important and growing part of St Albert Parish. Our youth ministry program holds monthly events for young children and for Junior/Senior High youth. We also support events hosted by other parishes in our community and on an Archdiocesan level. St Albert Parish joins forces with other parishes in our North Deanery to bring social justice-focused events to our youth, including an annual Development & Peace ThinkFAST and a Wake-a-thon!

I want to know Thee
Father, I want to know Thee, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys. I cannot part with them without inward bleeding, and I do not try to hide from Thee the terror of the parting. I come trembling, but I do come. Please root from my heart all those things which I have cherished so long and which have become a very part of my living self, so that Thou mayest enter and dwell there without a rival. Then shalt Thou make the place of Thy feet glorious. Then shall my heart have no need of the sun to shine in it, for Thyself wilt be the light of it, and there shall be no night there. In Jesus Name, Amen.
