Who we are
Saint Anne's is a small Christian fellowship emerging new, fresh and hopeful.
Mission
To be a welcoming and helpful friend to the people of Oceanside and beyond, through outreach and the fellowship of the Spirit.
Description
Saint Anne's is a mission of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of San Diego. We have a deep appreciation for the continuity this gives us with the ancient Christian faith, and for the way in which it helps us to experience God as Living Mystery rather than as a concept or doctrine.
At Saint Anne's we are practicing that ancient tradition in our modern setting. Those attracted to the Emerging Church Movement should find Saint Anne's appealing.
Following what has become known as the Emerging Church Movement we are committed to;
Becoming a center of help, hope and healing.Developing worship that is both ancient and modern.Fostering leadership based on serving and consensus.Seeing truth as many-sided.
At Saint Anne's we want to engage in certain key practices rather than in programing. There are three practices in particular which we seek to follow:Friendship, Shared Scripture Study, Spiritual Reflection.

May your light illuminate our hearts
Eternal God, this holy night is radiant with the brilliance of your one true light. May that light illuminate our hearts and shine in our words and deeds. May the hope, the peace, the joy, and the love represented by the birth in Bethlehem this night fill our lives and become part of all that we say and do. May we share the divine life of your son Jesus Christ, even as he humbled himself to share our humanity. Amen.
