Friendship Group
The Friendship Group welcomes everyone who would like to share time with others, in a firendly, welcoming atmosphere. Bring along your favourite pastime or hobby to enjoy in company and make friends. Board games and cards are popular, along with knitting, sewing, crochet and water colour painting.
What is your hobby? Or would you like to start one? Come in and join us for a cup of tea or coffee at anytime between 1.30pm and 4pm and you will be made most welcome.
Every third Tuesday at 1:30 PM

The Short Service
We called it 'The Short Service' because it is short! - shorter than the average church service, and therefore more suitable for very young children. We hold it in St Edward's Church Hall on the third Sunday of every month (though sometimes we skip a month in holiday times). It starts at 10.00am and it's usually over by 10.40am, and there is a cup of coffee for those who can stay a bit longer for a chat. It's informal, but we hope it's an introduction to worship for those who are not regular churchgoers (adults as well as children!). It includes songs, a story, some kind of activity or chat, and prayers. . Come and join us!
Every third Sunday at 10:00 AM until Friday 1st December 2017 for 35 minutes

Beer and Chat

The power of Christian prayer Teach me
Teach me, O God, to use all the circumstances of my life to-day that they may bring forth in me the fruits of holiness rather than the fruits of sin. Let me use disappointment as material for patience: Let me use success as material for thankfulness: Let me use suspence as material for perseverance: Let me use danger as material for courage: Let me use reproach as material for longsuffering: Let me use praise as material for humility: Let me use pleasures as material for temperance: Let me use pains as material for endurance.
