Who we are
Welcome to St John’s! We are a lively evangelical Anglican Church, in Buckhurst Hill. Through preaching, teaching, worship, prayer, fellowship and outreach we long to see transformation and change in our community, as we tell others about who Jesus is and how he can transform our lives. If you are visiting our church for the first time please come and say hello.

St John's Church Service Times
Christmas 2015 Services
Christmas Day Celebration
25th December 2015 10:45 am
Regular Sunday Services
We hold three services every Sunday. Here’s how the day runs:
8.45am spoken Holy Communion / Morning Prayer
This is a quieter and smaller service, although the teaching follows the same subjects as at 10.45am. The services alternate between Communion and Morning Prayer, and are a mixture of Common Worship and Book of Common Prayer.
10.45am Morning worship
An informal service with a contemporary feel with music, practical biblical teaching, prayer ministry and Sunday groups.
Some services are all-age worship, but mostly there are Sunday children’s groups or Messy Church once a month.
7.00pm Informal Worship
An informal relaxed service set up in a ‘café style’. We meet for refreshments from 6.45pm and have a simple format of worship and teaching. The first Sunday of every month has a particular emphasis on prayer.
It's been more than 8 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

We need passion
We need passion in our faith! Instead of praying, 'If I should die before I wake', we should pray, 'Lord wake me up before I die!'
