Who we are
St. Lukes Greytown is a parish that seeks to live out the greatest commandment of Christ:
“Love one another just as I have loved you.”
As a congregation our desire is to create an environment of love, acceptance and forgiveness for any and all and be faithful partners with God in his plan to redeem creation.
What we believe…
We believe that God has revealed himself in scripture as a loving heavenly father who is alive and at work in the world he created and that his mission is to redeem everyone and everything and bring people’s spirits home to His love.
We believe that God has invited people to partner with him in his plan of redemption and sent His only son Jesus Christ to be our way, our truth and the source of our life and has given us the Holy Scriptures to teach us his ways and help us learn from the past mistakes of those who worked against God’s desires.
We believe that God moves in us and through us through his Holy Spirit who empowers us to overcome our selfishness and pride and helps us become more like Christ, humble servants of love, acceptance and forgiveness. We believe that this is the ultimate journey of the spiritual life and invite you to join us.

Light of the World
Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth... may we begin to see the world in the light of understanding you give us. As you chose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest news the world had ever known, so may we worship you in meekness of heart. May we also remember our brothers and sisters less fortunate than ourselves in this season of giving. Amen.
