Who we are
St Mary's is here to serve God in worship and prayer, and to serve all of the people of Newton & Flowery Field. We live to learn more of God and to speak His name through our actions and example. We believe the church should reach out into the community and beyond, therefore we work closely with other agencies in Newton & Hyde, so if we cannot meet a need we can direct you to the right place. We have links with New Charter Housing and social support. We are able to refer to foodbanks, we can also direct you to the right place to get debt support, benefit advice and health/employment issues.
We offer friendship and companionship through our regular groups and we are a 'child friendly' church with lots of facilities for children and young people.
The best way to find out more is either to contact Rev'd Annie Woodcock, our vicar, or just to turn up on a Sunday morning at 10am . You will be most welcome, and you’ll probably meet someone you’ve not seen for ages. It’ll be great to see you soon!

St Mary's Service Times
There are two main services in the week, both at 10am.
On a Wednesday we have a short said Eucharist which is followed by coffee and biscuits and a chat. We also have a Bible Study on Wednesday after the service, which gives us the opportunity to focus on different parts of the bible and relate this to everyday life.
The highlight of the week at St Mary’s is Sunday morning. It is a joy to meet together to worship God, to share in bread and wine and to be changed, transformed and inspired.
On a Sunday morning we have super facilities for children & young people and a great team of dedicated leaders.
There is a creche to use during the service.
JAM meets during the service and is aimed at primary school children.
We also have Mini-SMYLE for year 6.
SMYLE is for year 7 and above, and meets on a Sunday morning every fortnight and have a youth group every Sunday evening in the hall.
We celebrate communion every week and it reminds us, as we share in the Bread & Wine, how much God loves us.
We also try to bring out the beauty and rhythm of the Christian year by doing things differently in each season, with changes of tone and emphasis to draw out the themes of Advent and Christmas, of Lent and Easter and so on.
Worship is the highlight of the week, and what God has made us for.
It's been more than 8 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

Make me stand out
Father, make of me a crisis man. Bring those I contact to decision. Let me not be a milepost on a single road; make me a fork, that men must turn one way or another on facing Christ in me.
