Who we are
Welcome to St Patrick and Holy Cross Churches
St Patrick's and Holy Cross are vibrant and welcoming churches made of a very diverse community. The parishes are both part of the Archdiocese of Soutwark and served by the Society of the Divine Saviour - The Salvatorians.
St Patrick's church is situated at Hector Street, Plumstead, London SE18 1QT.
The Holy Cross church is situated in Plumstead Common, 27 The Slade, London SE18 2ND.
Masses and associated services at both parishes are served by Fr Richard Mway Zeng SDS and Fr Father Ponder Paulinus Ngilangwa SDS, both based at the nearby Presbytery, 1A Conway Road, London SE18 1AQ.
Our Mission
We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth.
We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Let no darkness overtake me
Visit, I beseech thee, O Lord, this habitation with thy mercy, and me with thy grace and salvation. Let thy holy angels pitch their tents round about and dwell here, that no illusion of the night may abuse me, the spirits of darkness may not come near to hurt me, no evil or sad accident oppress me; and let the eternal Spirit of the Father dwell in my soul and body, filling every corner of my heart with light and grace. Let no deed of darkness overtake me; and let thy blessing, most blessed God, be upon me for ever, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
