Who we are
Life at St Paul’s can be summed up under the three words outreach, discipleship and fun, and each of the three terms of the year focuses on one of these. That is, we aim:
to share the good news of Jesus through any appropriate means, including personal witness, public preaching, Alpha courses, and service to the community. By our gifts and prayers we also seek to equip and encourage others who are called to share the gospel. We have a particular focus on outreach in the autumn, leading up to Christmas.
to encourage and challenge one another to grow in our relationship with God, through prayer and Bible study, church attendance and membership of small groups, giving, serving and ministering to others. This is the focus from January to Easter.
to have fun together as the people of God, coming together for social activities and events which are enjoyable and where outsiders can feel welcome. We major on this in the summer, but at St Paul’s we like to have fun all year round, as at the Big Breakfast, when all the congregations come together for a full cooked breakfast at the start of each year.

"Yes, Lord"
"Yes, Lord! Jesus, I give all of this to you. Jesus," I just started out a dream for my neighbourhood. "I didn't ask you to make me a messenger to the world. I just wanted to love my neighbours. But Jesus, here it is. Here's my future, here's my loneliness, here are all the pressures, here are the criticism", and I gave Him everything. And I told Him to take me again and I would try to make "Yes, Lord" the continuing motto of my life..
