Who we are
At St. Peter's, we trust you will discover a rather diverse and active congregation. Some of us are new to Oxford and others are Oxonians by birth and for many generations. Some are new to the Episcopal Church and others were baptized as infants in our church. Some are students, faculty, or staff at the University of Mississippi, while others only experience Ole Miss as a part of our college-town ambiance. We are young to old and come from a variety of increasingly diverse backgrounds.
Our ministries are numerous, but we are open to new participants and suggestions for new ministries from those persons who are willing to share their gifts and talents with us. St. Peter's is a work in progress, a holy place open to God's continuing work of creation and redemption.

Come Lord Jesus!
Lord Jesus, master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas. We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day. We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us. We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom. We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence. We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light. To you we say, "Come Lord Jesus!"
