Who we are
VISION & MISSION
MISSION STATEMENT: “Love GOD and Love One Another”.
“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35 (NIV)
This Purpose Statement comes from the Great Commandment which says:
“You shall love the Lord God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39 (NKJV)
This mission statement answers the question: Why are we here? We are here to love GOD and to love ONE ANOTHER. God the Father showed His love for us by sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross for us. By sharing His love to others, we are aso showing our love to Him. This mission statement explains how we are to show our love both GOD and to ONE ANOTHER.
VISION STATEMENT: “To be a church that loves God and expresses this love by going and sharing His love to others.”
This Vision Statement comes from the Great Commission which says:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
Within the Great Commandment and the Great Commission you find the five functions of the church: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry and Evangelism. As we fulfill these five functions, we will become:
CLEARER in Worship CLOSER in Fellowship STRONGER in Discipleship STRONGER in Ministry LARGER in Outreach (Evangelism)
“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jer. 29:11 NIV)
“We should make our plans – counting on God to direct us.” (Proverbs 16:9 LB)

Help me to avoid every sin
Thanks to Thee, O God, that I have risen today, To the rising of this life itself; may it be to Thine own glory, O God of every gift, and to the glory, aid Thou my soul. With the aiding of Thine own mercy, even as I clothe my body with wool, cover Thou my soul with the shadow of Thy wing. Help me to avoid every sin, and the source of every sin to forsake, and as the mist scatters on the crest of the hills, may each ill haze clear from my soul, O God.
