Who we are
True North is not just our name, it is our missional statement. It appears that so many are still “looking for love in so many different places”, most to no avail. We realize that in an ever-changing world of fads, values and relativism, it can be difficult to find the path that leads to true peace and contentment. We are committed to consistently point people in the direction of Jesus Christ.
We publically admit that Jesus is our True North. Jesus Himself declared that He was the Way, the Truth and the Life. All of us are somewhere between where we are and where we’re going. Come join us on a journey of a lifetime as we set our course towards Jesus, the only True North!
So, no matter what question may be, or what the current circumstances looks like, our posture will always be the same. It will be pointing in the direction of Jesus Christ our True North.
Philosophy of Ministry
We believe in an “every member” approach to ministry. In short, there are no “Big I’s” or Little “U’s”. Each part of the Body of Christ is equally important as any other member/part of the Body. 1 Cor. 12:12-27
We believe that God has uniquely gifted every member of His Body with specific gifts and callings that were activated at the time an individual places faith in the sinless life of Jesus as Savior.
We further believe that God has given specific gifts to the church in the form of the 5-fold ministry. Eph. 4:11 These gifts are manifested through specific 5-fold ministry callings which are intended to help equip God’s people to reach their God-given potential in Christ.
Lastly, we believe that the fullness of Christ’s reality manifested to the world will only be realized as each member finds and begins to operate in their unique calling from God. Eph 4:13, John 17:23
Practically, we believe in a shared ministry approach to leadership. There is a singular ministry leader who works in unity and conjunction with the other 5-fold ministry gifts.
