St Mary the Virgin in Oxenhope, West Yorkshire is a Christian congregation serving the Oxenhope community and seeking, engaging, and encouraging others through a life-changing Christian journey.

We seek to be a loving, friendly community that worships God, and serves others. We place a high priority on teaching from the Bible and following the example of Jesus.

Our vision is to impact and renew Oxenhope and beyond with the transforming message of Jesus Christ through words and actions.

The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebration (2pm)
We are having an afternoon tea party to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. We we will have representation from Her Majesty the Queen and all church family will receive a commemoration gift. The afternoon will include a special peal of bells to mark the occasion.

Bell ringing course
This is a ringing training session using our simulator. If you would like to join in a simulator session please email [email protected].

Service of Holy Baptism
Most of our Baptisms are undertaken in our main Sunday morning service with the whole worshipping community. However, due to the increasing numbers of our worshipping community our larger Baptism parties have to come together in a separate service for practical accommodation reasons.

The Parochial church council monthly meeting. This meeting is not open to the public.
Any church members interested in joining the PCC should speak to the PCC Chairman (Revd NIgel) or PCC secretary (Andrew Collinson) in the first instance. Appointments to the PCC are made at the Annual Parochial Meeting in April of each year.

We have excellent ringing facilities at St Mary's with a full peal of eight bells. All are welcome to come and give it a try. We have experienced trainers and a lively, friendly group of ringers - adults and children alike. If you would like to join, new ringers should attend at 7pm (not 7.30pm).

All are welcome to come and sing with us in practise. Do come and give it a try. We have a very experienced choir leader and are blessed with a choir almost twenty strong and three organists.

A gentle and calming end to the day with the beautiful service of compline.

Breakfast with God
This is an event for primary school children and their parents/carers. Come and enjoy breakfast, crafts, stories and music. No charge and breakfast is for the parents as well as the children :)

This is one for all preschool children, toddlers and babies, together with their parents/carers. Come and enjoy songs and games; bible stories, play and crafts and refreshments for all. It's a chance to have some very special family time...
